We are celebrating once again as our Blueberry Classic Bitter is recognised at the National Beer Competition held by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).
Blueberry Classic Bitter was judged "Champion Speciality Beer" from over 1,400 beers that entered the initial stages of the contest. It was also one of just 10 beers to win a Champion’s prize in the national competition. As well as the plaque and the prestige, the title guarantees a place for Blueberry Classic Bitter on the SIBA Champions’ Bar at the Great British Beer Festival in London this summer, which is visited by over 60,000 people.

Pete Postlethwaite - The Best Actor in The World

6th January 2011

We at Coach House Brewery would like to express our sincere regret at the recent death of a great actor Pete Postlethwaite.

In 2000 Pete starred in a TV series called “The Sins” and we started brewing a beer simply called “POSTLETHWAITE” he was over the moon at having a beer named after him and he sent us a picture of himself as Roland Tembo the big game hunter in “The Lost World: Jurassic Park”, this picture still adorns the pump clip image. The beer was a great success then and is still very popular today.

The beer has an ABV of 4.6% and is pale ale, dry and fruity and does not compromise just like the man himself. It is Dry hopped in the traditional manner which gives the beer a fine hop aroma.
